Uinta (you-in-tuh) Brewing Company has taken brewing and exploring seriously since opening in Salt Late City in 1993. Admittedly, it took a devotion to the two in order to open a brewery in Utah back in the days when there were strict laws on alcohol sales and consumption. However, founder Will Hamill took the leap from a bathroom homebrew system to a 15bbl brewery. With a growing team of like-minded adventurers passionate about craft beer, Uinta has since become the 38th largest craft brewery in the U.S. as of 2015.
When living and brewing in a place such as Salt Lake City, surrounded by stunning natural landscapes, it makes sense to want to preserve the beauty. Uinta has proudly taken up the sustainability flag since 2001 when they became Utah’s first 100% wind-powered business. Since then they have added solar power as an additional renewable energy source to power their 5 acre campus that is home to multiple impressive expansions over the years.
Visitors to Uinta will find a wide array of draft, canned, and bottled beer, everything from IPAs to Pilsners to seasonal releases and more. On top of the variety of brews, Uinta offers a variety of delicious pub food just waiting to be paired with whichever beer is in hand!
