"It was a birthday gift to remember. Awesome choices, plenty of time to explore and enjoy the other options available. Our guide was very knowledgeable and I have made changes in what we look for in beers as well as how we drink it - always in a glass. Fun and cool"

Excellent Time Had By All
"The tour was great from beginning to end. Mark was an awesome guide. Perfect man for our group. We really enjoyed his knowledge of beer and history. All the brewery stops were good, but Bantam Cider was my favorite. Will definitely be back!"

History Meets Beer
"This tour was a great way to experience the city of Boston and see what various types of beer it has to offer. The tour guide was very informative and made the overall experience fun and enjoyable. Plus, who doesn't like to sample 15-18 beers in under 6 hours? Will definitely recommend this tour to friends!"

Tell us about yourself! I am a fun-loving, energetic person! You can always find me either dancing, swimming, hiking, or anything else that falls in that category. I just love to move around. But on the off chance I need to chill, I’ll do that by enjoying a book or writing.
Favorite beer(s)? I love a saison, but am down to try everything and likely enjoy it (unless you offer me a Pabst or something like that).
What do you love the most about your city’s beer scene? Each brewery kind of caters to a different crowd. Which to me, creates more diversity! All while having one thing in common, a love for great beer.
Why do you love being a Beer Guide? It makes me feel way cooler than I actually deserve credit for. And I get to come to face with different people with different narratives. I think that’s beautiful.
If you were an animal, which animal would you be? I’ve always loved tigers. They are spirited and determined.
What’s an interesting fact about you? Several. Some people might love the fact that I’ve tapped dance for 22 years. Others might like the fact I’ve broken both of my elbows, two different occasions, on a trampoline!
Anything else you’d like to share? I’m so excited to be part of something new in Salt Lake! City Brew Tours rocks!
Liam – Beer Guide
Tell us about yourself! I grew up in Missouri, but came out to Utah for school and the amazing film scene. A couple years at the U later and I’ve gained a passion for sound design, screenwriting, and Foley art. I never expected to become obsessed with SLC’s craft beer scene. But when its filled with amazing people, brews, and stories it’s no surprise how I got involved so easily. Now I’m introducing others to the craft beer scene, and even doing a little homebrewing myself.
Favorite beer(s)? Guiness Draught stout, Kolsch, West Coast IPA, and Druish Princess from Bewilder.
What’s your favorite story from a City Brew Tour? I was on a tour with 13 people and we were at our last stop. We were on the last sample which was a hefeweizen. We had gotten it because this spot doesn’t have as much on tap as others so it was a limited selection. Everyone was dreading trying it, but then one person did and loved it. That gave everyone else enough confidence to give it a shot. It ended up being almost half of the groups favorite beer of the night.
Why do you love being a Beer Guide? It lets me introduce people to new great brewery spots, and possibly even new beers that they never would’ve tried on their own.
If you were an animal, which animal would you be? Sloth, gotta maximize that sleep schedule.
What’s an interesting fact about you? I play banjo despite not really being very into bluegrass or country music.
Anything else you’d like to share? A grilled cheese sandwich has only cheese and bread. If you add any other toppings, meat or veggie alike, it is now a melt. This is the hill I will die on.
Shane – Beer Guide

What do you wish your city was more well-known for? That the beer is actually spectacular here and our realizability as guides in Salt Lake City is to restore the faith of the beer reputation.
