"Whether you are just visiting, have guests from out of town or live here and just want to have a fun day, a Brewvana Tour is the ticket. There are tour choices, the guides are knowledgeable and lots of fun and of our tasting the beer is what its all about. You usually visit 3 or 4 breweries and will three or four samples at each brewery. Some tours include trying sours and other innovations in brewing. Best part of the trip is you're not driving just enjoying the beer. This had been a go to experience whenever we have out of town guests and even as a local, this. is just plain fun!"

We had a great time in May, cruising through a handful of local craft breweries in Portland. (Baerlic, Unicorn, Migration, etc.)
We spent time learning about beer making, lots of different tastings, and plenty of fun on the bus. There was a wide variety of local beers and had a great meal at the end (best pub nachos ever). Our guide was an excellent source of information (and entertainment). Our favourite tour of the three we did that weekend!

I booked this tour to learn more about the differences in the fermentation process between cider, beer, and whiskey. I had a ton of fun! Everyone at the stops were very informative, and our Brewvana guide was great! Highly recommend this tour, as well as spending additional time (if possible) at any of the stops along the way. Definitely a highlight of my Portland trip. Thanks for the visit!

On a recent trip to Portland we decided that we wanted to do a brewery tour and found Brewvana, and so glad that we did. Our guide, Kelene, was informative and fun! She got to know our likes and adjusted to meet the needs of everyone, introducing us to many great beers that some may have never tasted if it wasn’t for her. Thanks for a great day, Kelene!

Tell us about yourself! Born and raised in Chicago, IL and moved to the ‘burgh 4 years ago with my husband. We have 1 dog and 3 crazy cats. I try to keep life simple, I love my family, my friends, and a good beer.
Favorite beer(s)? Three Floyds Gumballhead
Why do you love being a Beer Guide? You get to meet some of the most amazing people while exploring a city’s beer scene, what’s not to love about that?!
If you were an animal, which animal would you be? Sloth, all day everyday.
What’s an interesting fact about you? I used to own sugar gliders.
Anything else you’d like to share? I’ve given tours in 6 of the cities that we operate in!
Benajmin – Beer Guide
Tell us about yourself! I love adventure just as much as I love hiding in my home for days. I don’t know what that means. I think I would’ve had a great time living in the Kowloon Walled City.
Favorite beer(s)? Biere Gris by Little Beast, Four Play by Upright, and Expat by Baerlic.
What do you love most about your city’s beer scene? Variety! Whatever I’m in the mood for, I can find. Never heard of it? I can also find that. And it’ll all be fantastic. Also, fresh hops! Fresh hop season is my favorite time of year.
Why do you love being a Beer Guide? Meeting new people from all different places and backgrounds is a privilege, but talking to them about the stuff I’m passionate about is what makes it truly great. From the “homebrewing longer than you’ve been alive” crowd to the “I don’t actually like beer I’m just doing this for my husband” groups, I love finding something in common with everyone.
What do you wish your city was more well-known for? Spiders. They don’t warn you just how many spiders you will encounter if you live here. The spiders are my friends. They would never harm me. I love them. Yes, there is a spider in the room right now.
If you could have a drink with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and why? Reid Blackburn and Robert Landsburg, who died photographing the eruption of Mount St. Helens. I guess I’d just want to know what was going through their minds as that day played out.
What’s an interesting fact about you? I used to play football and be a cheerleader, two things no one ever believes just by looking at me.
Anything else you’d like to share? If you say you don’t like beer, you just haven’t tried enough yet!
Kieran – Beer Guide
Tell us about yourself! I love making and learning about beer! That’s not all I love to do, climbing is my favorite hobby and the pacific northwest is the best place to do both! While I’m out climbing around I like to take photos or paint my surroundings.
Why do you love being a Beer Guide? Getting to hear all the fun stories of the people that join a brew tour!
What do you wish your city was more well-known for? That there are more donut shops than just Voodoo.
If you were an animal, which animal would you be? Barn owl.
If you could have a drink with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and why? My brother, there’s never a bad reason to grab a cold one with the ol’ bro.
What’s an interesting fact about you? I love to jam out on the saxophone!
