Founded by Kyle Hurst and Scott Berger, BIG aLICe BREWING began production in 2013 using local ingredients from Community Shared Agriculture and Food Co-ops to brew and bottle small batches of beer. Since then, they have expanded their production, opened up a taproom, a barrel aging facility (BIG aLICe Barrel Room), and another taproom / brewhouse in the Finger Lakes.
Despite the growth, BIG aLICe has remained dedicated to sourcing organic, local ingredients and supporting state and local agriculture as a licensed New York State farm brewery. They partner with New York hop farmers and maltsters and collaborate with other nearby businesses for specialty ingredients.
