The story of Old Dominick Distillery begins with Domenico Canale, who arrived in Memphis in 1859 and established D. Canale & Co. in 1866, offering Old Dominick Whiskey. The company thrived, expanding into a major distributor and surviving Prohibition. After evolving through several business ventures, the Canale family resurrected the Old Dominick brand in 2013, leading to the creation of a modern distillery in Memphis. In 2017, they produced their first Tennessee Whiskey since Prohibition, continuing their legacy into the present day.
