District Distilling is Washington, D.C.βs first combination distillery, kitchen, and bar since a 2014 law made it possible for a restaurant and bar to produce its own spirits on-site. Situated within a series of historic nineteenth century row houses at the heart of the bustling 14th and U Street corridors, District Distilling Co. uses custom-made copper pot and column stills made by the legendary German still manufacturer, Carl. Using local grains from the Mid-Atlantic region they distill their own craft vodka, gin, and whiskey products that are available to take home or enjoy at their bar and restaurant. Along with local craft beers at the bar, Chef Justin sources his ingredients from local farmers and producers as much as possible which helps them create seasonal and spirits-inspired menus. All around the tasting room and dining room, you will find artful murals detailing the distilling process while you taste some of the best spirits that DC has to offer.

We highly recommend District Distilling as a great place to explore outside of the DC Brew Tour, as it is not currently on our itinerary.
