The founders of 1st Republic Brewing, Shawn Trout and Mike Drake, both served on active duty and with distinction overseas before returning to Vermont to serve up some of the best Veteran crafted brews. In fact, 1st Republic was voted 2018’s VT Veteran Owned Small Business of the Year. They love everything about beer from brewing it to drinking it to teaching about it and to sharing it.
