In this wide-open space that was once a historic Baltimore industrial building sits Monument City Brewing Company. From the Highlandtown, Baltimore taproom, you get a front row seat to their German designed brewhouse. With craft beer conversations that stretched between continents, Monument City began with two brothers, Ken and Matt Praay, who brought their love of craft beer to their first family brewery in Baltimore in 2014.
You’ll notice the careful details throughout the brewery including the unique tap handles that are crafted from first growth Douglas Fir trees cut down over one hundred years ago. The wood was first used for mash tanks for a distillery and then to hold vinegar in the 1950s before becoming unique handcrafted tap handles for Monument City Brewing. Ken and Matt believe in staying local and promoting good community through good beer that you’ll be able to taste fresh!
